Changes in working conditions
If individual terms of an employment contract are to be changed, this is only possible by mutual agreement between the employer and employee. If the contracting parties cannot agree on the desired change, for example, an extension or reduction of the agreed working hours, the only remaining option is a termination with notice of change.

In this scenario, the employer terminates the employment relationship and simultaneously offers to continue it after the notice period under the desired alternative conditions. The employee can then accept these changes, provided they are not socially unjustified, and have the validity of the proposed change reviewed by the labor court. This approach minimizes the employee's risk, as the employment relationship itself remains unaffected.

If a change falls within the scope of the employer's right to give instructions, the change can be made unilaterally.
